November’s theme is Citizenship, where we will be focusing on two of the Citizenship merit badges:
- Citizenship in the Nation
- Citizenship in Society, Scouting’s new white-ring merit badge (Eagle required)
Citizenship in Society cannot be done in a group setting, so this will be an introduction to it and Scouts will need to seek out one of our two counselors, Mr. Noonan and Dr. Stone to complete the badge.
Additionally, the scouts will conduct a clean-up of the Troop’s trailer merit badge book library. We will have our second Webelo open house Monday November 21.
Distribution of popcorn and wreath orders will take place in the next few weeks. On December 4 we will be hosting Friendship Sunday at St. Michael, scouts will be needed to help put out coffee and doughnuts for the parishioners after masses, as well as distribute wreath orders.
The Troop Winter Court of Honor is December 5, followed by the Henry Ford Museum visit campout December 9-11.
