Camps

Below are the camps we typically go to for our monthly campouts.

Camp Lazarus is located nine miles North of I-270 on the West side of Rt 23 in Delaware County. The main entrance is opposite Ohio Health Blvd. Driving time about 30 mins.

For access to the West Activity Field or the Outpost Areas, turn onto Winter St from RT 23. Take Winter St till it ends at Chapman Rd. Turn Right on to Chapman Rd and look for the stone pillars on your right by the creek for the entrance to either area.

Take Rt 79 North from Newark (Cedar St Exit) about 11 miles to TWP 210 and turn Left. Follow the signs to the Summer entrance (up the hill). We will meet you in the parking lot. Driving time is about 1 to 1½ hours and about 50 miles.

Take RT 23 South to Waverly. In Waverly continue on RT 23 South to Portsmouth and US Rt 52 and take it West. Go to SR 125 turn Right and follow it to Camp Oyo. It’s in the Shawnee State Forest on the Right side of the road. Driving time is about 2hrs and 110 miles.

Take US 23 South from Columbus to US 35 in Chillicothe. Then go 15 Miles southeast of Chillicothe on US 35. Look for the sign to Boy Scout Camp. Turn Left (East) on Elam Rd, go to Boy Scout Rd and turn left. Follow the signs. Watch out for the hairpin turn above camp. Driving time is about 1½ hrs and about 85 miles.

John Beltz Retreat is located North of Westerville and Hoover Reservoir at 4834 Harlem Rd, Galena, OH. From St. Michael’s / Worthington take I270 East to Cleveland Ave exit. Take Cleveland Ave North to County Line Rd. Turn Right on County Line an take it to Sunbury Rd. Turn Left on Sunbury and go until it “T’s” into Red Bank Rd. Turn Left and go to Harlem Rd. Turn Right onto Harlem. Harlem turns right at Woodtown Rd. WATCH OUT FOR THIS. Pay attention to the signs. The John Beltz Retreat is on your Right, less then a mile. Driving time about 30 to 40 minutes.
