Busy February & March for Troop 123

We have a very busy remainder of February and March for Troop 123:

  • Monday 2/17 – Troop Elections: We will be electing a new Senior Patrol leader as well as the individual Patrol leaders at this election.  We will be assigning Scouts to all of the other Troop positions.  If you need a Troop position (if you are First Class or higher you need a troop position) make sure you are at this Meeting.  
  • Saturday 2/22 – Pack 123 Crossover – 6:30 at St. Michael: We will be at the Pack 123 Blue and Gold Banquet to receive six new Scouts.  Ben Leffler has agreed to be the Patrol leader for the new Scouts for the next few months as they begin their journey in Troop 123.  Thank you to Ben as well as a few other Scouts from the Troop have committed to attend and welcome our new members.  
  • Monday 2/24 – Troop Meeting: Regular Troop meeting and New Scouts first meeting, New Scout’s parent meeting
  • Monday 3/2 – Troop Meeting: Regular Troop meeting & Caving trip discussion/information session
  • 3/6-7/2020 – Junior Leader Training: Mandatory for all Troop members with a leadership position. John Beltz Retreat Center Drop off Scouts 7:00pm Friday.  Pick Up 3:30pm Saturday.
  • Monday 3/9 – Troop Meeting: Regular Troop meeting & econd Caving discussion/information session, menu planning.
  • Saturday 3/14 – Maple Fest: As we have for many years we will be staffing the BB range at The Maple Fest at Camp Lazarus.  The more Scouts that sign up the more opportunity to walk around and see/participate in the other activities.  We get free admission as well as a free lunch for helping with this event.  Drop off 8:30am, pick up about 4:00pm.
  • Monday 3/16 – Spring Court of Honor: All winter merit badges and rank advancements will be awarded, new Scouts officially instated and new Troop leadership sworn in.Pizza will be served after the Court
  • 3/20-22 – Caving Campout: Meet at 6:00pm at The White House Friday (across the street from St. Michael) We will be camping at the Great Salt Petre Caves campground in Kentucky, and led by the Cincinnati Grotto on our caving expedition. More information at the 3/2 and 3/9 Troop meetings.  Pick up on noon Sunday.
