This month the theme is First Aid. The meetings leading up to and the campout will be focused on that theme. We have our big post summer camp Court of honor this month. We have not had a COH at all this year due to COVID so there will be a lot of awards, recognitions, merit badges and rank advancements given out. In addition, we will officially swear in our new Scouts as well as Troop leadership positions that should have happened in the Spring and end the evening with our annual slide show highlighting the previous Scouting year.
NOTE: We will not have the traditional banquet but there will be refreshments. It is an event you will definitely not want to miss, all Scouts, leaders and their families are invited! While we are outdoors, masks and social distancing are required.
A reminder that October is dues month. As the Troop prepares for rechartering please contact Mrs. Stone, our Troop treasurer, to pay your dues or make sure there is enough in your Scout account to cover them. Last year National dues were significantly raised. This increase took place after we started collecting dues so in the best interest of our Scouts and their families the Troop committee decided to cover the increase without going back to ask for additional money. While we would love to do that again that is just not possible. Scout dues are $108.00. The breakdown is $66.00 to BSA National, $12.00 to the Council for insurance and $30.00 to the Troop. Adult dues are $42.00.
As we wind out the summer we will go back to wearing class A uniforms at Troop meetings. The first meeting after Labor day which is the Court of Honor on 9/13 we will return to wearing our class A at every meeting.

- September 13Troop 123 Court of Honor at Selby Park 6:00pm. As with all of our park meetings, be sure you bring a chair and be prepared for weather.

- September 18-20Campout at Camp Falling Rock. Meet at the Whitehouse across from St. Michael at 6:00pm Friday, return at noon Sunday.
