Cameron S. Eagle Project

Trees are the lungs of the world.  Cameron S. has planned his Eagle Scout Project to benefit Duxberry Park Alternative Elementary School, which is located in a neighborhood with tree canopy percentage in the low teens, while the ideal tree canopy percentage for living conditions is 40%. This means that there is not enough to support acceptable air quality or a healthy ecosystem. Planting more trees at Duxberry will contribute towards the City of Columbus’ Urban Forestry Master Plan goal of having 40% tree canopy by 2030.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM we will be removing trees from burlap and placing them in their holes, mulching over them, tying them off, and setting up their watering system.
