Memorial Day Weekend 2022

This weekend is Memorial Day.  Our Troop has several commitments.  9:00am Saturday morning at Greenlawn Cemetery we will be placing flags on veteran’s graves; meet at Section 71.  Monday we will march in the Worthington Memorial Day Parade carry flags to commemorate deceased members of the Paul W. Tibbets Memorial VFW Post 2385.  THIS EVENT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SCOUTS.  Meet at 9:00am in front of Sharon Hall at Morning St. and 161 (Dublin-Granville Road).  Scouts in the parade will head back to St. Michael after we are done marching to meet their families.   Right after the parade those Scouts and Scouters who signed up will head up to Resurrection Cemetery for the military flag ceremony.  Following the Resurrection Cemetery ceremony, we have one final commitment back at Sharon Hall for the VFW post; the Scouts that have already signed up will suffice for that event.  Full Class A uniform is required at all these activities.  Families are welcome to join, they can help us place the flags at Greenlawn, watch us march carrying the flags of deceased Worthington VFW members at the parade and watch us as we are the color guard for the Resurrection Cemetery flag ceremony.
