Matthew S. will begin his Eagle Scout Project this Wednesday, August 17. This phase will entail cutting down invasive plants at the River Bluffs Area of Highbanks Metro Park. Please note that this is an area west of the Olentangy River and is accessed from Olentangy River Road, not Rt. 23. The project will begin at 9:00am and last approximately 3 hours.
Where to be:
River Bluff Area, Highbanks Metro Park, 8400 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43235
What to bring:
- long pants and boots for protection from plants and bugs
- work gloves since we will be handling cut down plants
- branch cutters/clippers (if you have them)
- shovel to remove larger obstacles
- rake to move smaller vegetation
- water bottle (if desired)
